Experience The World's Biggest Water Fight In Thailand

A GoPro mounted on a water pistol has captured the vibrant celebrations inside the world’s biggest water fight. Every year across Thailand, to celebrate Songkran - the Thai New Year's national holiday - tourists and locals pour onto the streets and soak each other with water. Armed with brightly-colored water pistols, hoses and buckets, thousands of revelers descend outdoors to battle each other and drench passers-by. The holiday, which begins April 13 and lasts around a week, is primarily about new beginnings and washing away bad luck and sins from the previous year. Mitch Gilmore, from Sydney, Australia, traveled to Patong in Phuket to experience it first hand and attached his GoPro to a water pistol for a unique view of the festivities. The fun film perfectly captures the infectious joy exhibited by everyone involved as they come together for a good soaking.
