Whole Street Sings Happy Birthday To 95-Year-Old During Lockdown

An entire street serenaded an elderly lady with a rendition of Happy Birthday and She’s a Jolly Good Fellow to celebrate her 95th birthday during lockdown. Standing a safe distance away from one another, with tape markings showing residents where to stand to ensure social distancing, the whole road in Lichfield, Staffordshire, UK, sung to Joan Parkinson to mark her special day. Being elderly and classed as ‘at-risk’ Joan had been self-isolating at home, and so was unable to celebrate her milestone with family and friends. So local residents and neighbors decided to lay on a special surprise for her – taking to the streets armed with a stereo and belting out the birthday tune.
