Boyfriend Uses Ring Pop For Cute Lockdown Proposal

A creative boyfriend decided to propose in lockdown using a RING POP as all jewelry stores were closed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Chris Keener planned to propose to girlfriend Kristen DeJong on their vacation to Italy - a Christmas present Chris had bought Kristen for later this year. But with COVID-19 gripping North America and Europe, Canada-based Chris realized he needed to come up with an alternative. And so, with no ring and no exotic location, Chris decided to set up the couple's Ottawa home with candles, romantic music, and the only ring he could really get his hands on: a ring pop. With the candy ring ready, Chris led Kristen into the room on March 29, getting down on one knee to pop the big question. Kristen said yes to the romantic gesture before the pair embraced during the sweet moment.
