2000 Sheep Cause Traffic Jam After Blocking Road

A 2000 strong herd of sheep caused four miles of tailbacks after they spilled out onto a highway while being moved. The giant herd was scattered across the Tbilisi bypass highway near the capital of Georgia. The sheep were being migrated by their owners to summer pastures after spending the winter months in the protected valleys that surround Tbilisi. But with the sheep outnumbering the herders by 500 to one, they were left frantically trying to round them up after they spilled onto the major road. And with traffic in both directions halted as the owners tried in vain to usher their animals off the road motorists were left with three hour tailbacks heading out of the city. Nikoloz Osipov was headed to Kazbegi district, 3 horus outside Tibilisi when he filmed the video.
