Dedicated Boyfriend Makes 5,500 Mile Trip To Propose

This doting boyfriend took surprise proposals to the next level, flying more than 5,500 MILES to pop the question to his shocked fiancee. Eric Camarillo, 31, would not let the distance between he and Admelyz Bueno get in the way of him asking the big question, and so he made the trip from his native Orlando, Florida, to Athens, in Greece, where Admelyz was studying. Admelyz, 27, had been in Greece through a multicultural class she was taking with Palm Beach Atlantic University, and so Eric began thinking of ways he could incorporate this three-week trip into his proposal. Having contacted Admelyz's professors to make sure the proposal was possible, Eric began making a video of himself buying the props to decorate the event, a suitcase – and even getting on the plane itself. With the help of others, that footage was edited into a package and set on an iPad, which was placed on a chair in Admelyz's dorm, surrounded by purple petals. When Admelyz returned from a day trip on June 14, she was greeted by this scene, and those around her began recording as she watched the video. Throughout the clip, Eric wanted to build suspense and, at the very last minute, reveal that he was actually on the roof of the dorm. Having realized this, Admelyz headed straight up the stairs to where she found Eric waiting to pop the question. The couple hugged and cried, before Eric got down on one knee and was met with a "Yes".
