La Batalla Del Vino Wine Throwing Festival In Spain

Awesome video has captured people having a SPLASHING time at La Batalla Del Vino - a unique Spanish tradition where people throw red wine over each other. Each year on June 29, the national holiday of La Fiesta de San Pedro, locals and tourists gather at the Haro Wine Festival in La Rioja, Spain, to splash wine on each other until everybody is soaked purple. They use their own shoes, buckets, pots and water pistols loaded with wine for the exuberant party. Maximo Ugalde Alegría, 55, from Haro, has taken part in the festival since he was a child, watching it grow into an internationally renowned event drawing people from all over the world.
