Woman Passes Bar And Captures Mom Reacting Behind Her

A woman who was the first person in her family to graduate high school and college captured the emotional moment she discovered she passed the California Bar Exam with her proud mom behind her. Keuren Parra Moreno, 26, immediately broke down in tears when she saw the results, while mom Angelica, 47, celebrates and screams with prideful joy in the background. Keuren, from Modesto, California, said the results marked the end of an eight-year journey that involved "the biggest risk and investment I ever made in myself." The 26-year-old is a Mexican-American daughter of immigrants, and every step of the way her parents supported her on her journey. Keuren commuted on a three-hour round trip from Modesto to Santa Clara for most of the three years she was at law school, and spent almost every weekday and weekend studying. During bar exam preparation, Keuren's exam was pushed back on two occasions because of COVID-19, so she worked part time while studying. On the day of results themselves Keuren admitted she felt extremely nervous. But she decided to film her reaction to the results so that, even if she failed, she could look back at her response to the setback with pride once she eventually passed. After noticing on the screen that she had passed, though, Keuren admitted that she didn't even register her mom's reaction because she was so caught up in the moment. In fact, it wasn't until she watched the video back that she saw her mom's wholesome response.
